Avamar Hyper-V federated backup is failing INTERNAL ERROR: <0001> assert error (!(str_target_server.isempty())), hypervvss_federated_snapup_assist_v2.cpp line 519.

Cause

Environmental issues on particular Hyper-V node.
-   To confirm - execute the command in PowerShell and check for any errors.
Get-WmiObject -namespace Root\MSCluster  -Query "select * from MSCluster_Resource where IsClusterSharedVolume = true"
-    Run Cluster Validation report in Failover Cluster Manager and examine the the output, address all cluster errors.

Resolution

Fix errors/issues in the Cluster on particular Hyper-V node.
