Symptoms

セキュア ブートが有効になっている場合、RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4パッチ1スプリッターvSphere Installation Bundle (VIB)をインストールできません。

スプリッター インストールを使用してセキュア ブートをテストすると、次のエラーが表示されます。

スプリッタの導入時にESXiホスト(/var/run/log/esxupdate.log)でエラーが発生しました。

ホストがセキュア ブート モードの場合、RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1のインストールが53%で失敗します。

RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4パッチ1スプリッターVIB( RPESX-00.5.3.4.1.0.m.184.000 )は署名されていません。
セキュア ブートは、このスプリッター バージョンではサポートされていません。

Resolution

RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4パッチ1スプリッターVIB( RPESX-00.5.3.4.1.0.m.184.000 )は署名されておらず、セキュア ブートをサポートしていません。

  • RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4パッチ1がインストールされたvSphere 8.0環境では、セキュア ブートはサポートされていません。 
  • RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1がインストールされたvSphere 7.0.x環境では、セキュア ブートはRecoverPoint for VMs 5.3.4.0スプリッターでサポートされます。


vSphere 8.0.xの回避策:

  • ESXiホストでセキュア ブートを無効にします。
  • --no-sig-checkオプションを使用して、RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4パッチ1スプリッタをインストールします。
esxcli software vib install -v /<Full_path_to_vib_file> --no-sig-check


以前のvSphereリリースの回避策オプション:
vSphere 6.xおよびvSphere 7.0.x vSphere環境では、次のいずれかのオプションに従います。

  • 5.3 SP4スプリッターVIBを使用します。EMC_bootbank_RP-Splitter_RPESX-00.5.3.4.0.0.m.739.000.vibの場合は、手動でインストールします。
  • セキュア ブートを無効にし、vSphere 8.0と同じ方法でRPESX-00.5.3.4.1.0.m.184.000スプリッタを使用します。
