Symptoms

De RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1 Splitter vSphere Installation Bundle (VIB) kan niet worden geïnstalleerd wanneer Secure Boot is ingeschakeld.

Bij het testen van Secure Boot met de splitterinstallatie wordt een fout weergegeven:

Fout op de ESXi-host (/var/run/log/esxupdate.log) bij het implementeren van de splitter:

Secure Boot wordt niet ondersteund met deze splitterversie.

Resolution

De RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1 splitter VIB - RPESX-00.5.3.4.1.0.m.184.000 - is niet ondertekend en biedt geen ondersteuning voor Secure Boot.

  • Voor vSphere 8.0-omgevingen met RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 patch 1 - Secure Boot wordt niet ondersteund. 
  • Voor vSphere 7.0.x omgevingen met RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 patch 1 - Secure Bootwordt ondersteund met de RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3.4.0 splitter.


Tijdelijke oplossing voor vSphere 8.0.x:

  • Schakel Secure Boot uit op ESXi-hosts.
  • Installeer de RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1 Splitter met de optie --no-sig-check :
esxcli software vib install -v /<Full_path_to_vib_file> --no-sig-check


Tijdelijke oplossingen voor oudere vSphere-releases:
Voor vSphere 6.x en vSphere 7.0.x vSphere omgevingen volgt u een van deze opties:
