Symptoms

RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1 Splitter vSphere Installation Bundle (VIB) kan ikke installeres når sikker oppstart er aktivert.

Testing av sikker oppstart med splitterinstallasjonen viser en feil:

Sikker oppstart støttes ikke med denne splitterversjonen.

Resolution

RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1 Splitter VIB – RPESX-00.5.3.4.1.0.m.184.000 – er ikke signert og støtter ikke sikker oppstart.

  • For vSphere 8.0-miljøer med RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1 – sikker oppstart støttes ikke. 
  • For vSphere 7.0.x-miljøer med RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1 – sikker oppstartstøttes med RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3.4.0-splitteren.


Midlertidig løsning for vSphere 8.0.x:

  • Deaktiver sikker oppstart på ESXi-verter.
  • Installer RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3 SP4 Patch 1 Splitter med alternativet --no-sig-check:
esxcli software vib install -v /<Full_path_to_vib_file> --no-sig-check
