Symptoms

Switches were showing offline on the SANnav inventory tab after the upgrade to 9.2.1b.

The following message is seen after upgrading the switches to FOS version 9.2.0c3: 
SNMP user credentials are invalid

Cause

  • SNMPv3 Password Encryption was enabled on FOS switches.
  • Check if the encrypted password was changed after upgrading to 9.2.0c3 to fit the same issue.

Resolution

  1. Set the SNMP v3 configuration to default at switch.
  2. Restart the SANnav services.
