Symptoms



DDBoost, NFS and VTL protocols are disabled

The filesystem is enabled and running but these protocols cannot be enabled.

# ddboost status

# vtl status
VTL admin_state: failed, process_state: stopped, licensed
# nfs status

Cause

Permissions on the /etc directory were changed from 755 to 666... causing the DDBoost, NFS and VTL protocols to become disabled.

Resolution

Please raise a case with Data Domain Technical Support.
