Symptoms

A opção "Log in as" deve ser configurada como Local System Account (a conta LocalSystem no Windows tem acesso irrestrito completo a recursos locais).

Os backups da VM guest falham com erros do VSS writer.

Veja abaixo as mensagens nos logs de vários componentes:
  • Logs do Avtar:

Cause

O software de backup anterior tinha uma conta de serviço para o serviço de imagem shadow copy de volume na VM guest definida como uma conta do AD.

Resolution

Procedimento
  1. Abra o console services.msc na VM guest.
  2. Procure o serviço "Volume Shadow Copy" > Properties > Log On. Em "This account", altere para "Local System Account"
