Symptoms

NetWorker Module for Database Applications (NMD) Postgres back-up fail with "could not connect to database "template1": could not connect to server"

Backup Error:  
The command '/usr/bin/nwbackup.sh' did not complete successfully. Exit code: 1. Error: + /usr/local/pgsql/bin/pg_dumpall --file=/nsr/apps/tmp/<random numbers>/<sql script>

pg_dumpall: error: could not connect to database "template1": could not connect to server: No such file or directory

Cause

De gebruikersreferentie is niet correct ingesteld in de Postgres-omgeving.

Resolution

Werk het NMDA-back-upscript bij met de gebruikersnaam, databasenaam en het IP-adres van de Postgres-server.

Origineel script:
