Symptoms

nsradmin> p type:NSR
                        type: NSR;

   Authentication Proxy port: 7999;          <=========== Default value...

When you configure a custom NetWorker service port range, you might see this error message:
# nsrports -S 7937-7940 12345-54321
205589:nsrexecd: Configured Auth proxy port value 7999 of the NSR resource doesn't fall within any defined service port range '7937-7940, 12345-54321'

Cause

NW 19.10 made it a requirement to add the port for the Authentication proxy service to the service port range.
Previous releases issued only a warning in the daemon log.

Resolution

The configured Authentication Proxy port must be part of the service port range.

Example:
# nsrports -S 7937-7940 12345-54321 7999
# nsrports
Service ports: 7937-7940 12345-54321 7999
Connection ports: 0-0
The Authentication proxy port 7999 is used exclusively by the auth_proxy daemon.
