Discovery Job Error: 500 : "{"code":500,"reason":"Failed to connect to <PPDM FQDN>: HTTP transport error: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: 
PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: Unable to find valid certification path to requested target","remediation":null,"timestamp":1723825208953,"path":"/api/v2/vmwareservice/vcenters/validate-connection","extendedInfo":null}".

Cause

Certificaat verlopen

Resolution

  1. Maak verbinding met het PowerProtect Data Manager Management IP met behulp van SSH.
    1. Beleven /var/log/brs/vmdm
    2. Controleer in de logboeken: vmdm-discovery.log <unable to find valid certification path to requested target>
  2. Maak via een webbrowser verbinding met het PowerProtect Data Manager Management IP-adres.
    1. Ga naar >Administration Certificates, controleer in het rechterpaneel of er Certificaten verlopen zijn.
    2. Selecteer het verlopen certificaat en klik vervolgens op Certificaten opnieuw genereren
  3. Ga naar Infrastructure >Asset Sources, selecteer de vCenter-naam en klik op Discovery
  4. Ga naar Taken Systeemtaken>, controleer het proces van Handmatige detectie
