Lage schrijfprestaties op Phison P0221 SSD's

Symptoms

Benchmarkingsoftware meldt slechte schrijfprestaties op de Phison P0221 SSD's. Crystaldiskmark en andere benchmarktools retourneren "Disk read/write speed 0" op de Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe)-schijf.

Cause

De firmware (FW) van de schijf kan geen garbage collection (GC) op de achtergrond uitvoeren. De SLC-cache (Single Level Cell) wordt niet gewist. Een volledige cache zorgt ervoor dat de FW GC op de voorgrond activeert, waardoor hostopdrachten worden beperkt. Dit zorgt ervoor dat de prestaties na verloop van tijd afnemen.

Resolution

Opmerking: Voordat u de update start, moet u het volgende uitvoeren:

  1. Maak een back-up van alle persoonlijke gegevens. Raadpleeg voor meer informatie: Back-up en herstel

  2. Sluit de voedingsadapter aan als er updates worden uitgevoerd op een laptop.
