Instructions
By design, SDC is a client. It does not listen on any port. It uses random outbound ports to connect to specific MDM or SDS ports. SDC installer does not modify any firewall (iptables) rules.
Below is an example:
10.0.1.51 is a node with the Primary MDM and an SDS;
10.0.1.41-45 are standalone SDCs.
MDM1_SDS1:~ # netstat -apnt | grep "10\.0\.1\.51:6611" | grep "10\.0\.1\.4[1-5]" | sort -k4
tcp 0 0 10.0.1.51:6611 10.0.1.41:32086 ESTABLISHED 3734/mdm-2.0.7120.0

MDM1_SDS1:~ # netstat -apnt | grep "10\.0\.1\.51:7072" | grep "10\.0\.1\.4[1-5]" | sort -k4
tcp 0 0 10.0.1.51:7072 10.0.1.41:32093 ESTABLISHED 3733/sds-2.0.7120.0
tcp 0 0 10.0.1.51:7072 10.0.1.42:52123 ESTABLISHED 3733/sds-2.0.7120.0
