Hvordan lage en portkanal på en Cisco-svitsj.
 

Trinn 1: På bryter1:

1. Opprett portkanalen.
   
   switch1# config terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line, ending with CNTL/Z.
switch1(config)# interface fc1/1, fc2/1
switch1(config-if)# channel-group 2
   
   FC1/1 FC2/1 er lagt til i port kanal 2 og deaktivert.
   
   Gjør den samme operasjonen på bryteren i den andre enden av portkanalen, og gjør deretter "ingen avstenging" i begge ender for å få dem opp.
   
   switch1(config-if)# switchport description "To switch2 PortChannel2"
    
2. Aktiver trunking (TE), og angi VSAN-tillatelseslisten på svitsj 1.
   
   switch1# config terminal
switch1(config)# int port-channel 2
switch1(config-if)# switchport trunk mode on
switch1(config-if)# switchport trunk allowed vsan 1
switch1(config-if)# switchport trunk allowed vsan add 10

Trinn 2: På bryter2:

1. Opprett portkanalen på svitsj 2, inkludert å angi beskrivelsen.
   
   switch2# config terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line, ending with CNTL/Z.
switch2(config)# interface fc1/1, fc2/1
switch2(config-if)# channel-group 2
   
   FC1/1 FC2/1 er lagt til i port kanal 2 og deaktivert.

Portkanaler tillater aggregering av flere FC- eller FCIP-koblinger i en enkelt, feiltolerant FC eller FCIP ISL med høyere hastighet. Den har de samme konfigurasjonsalternativene som en enkelt kobling FC eller FCIP ISL så langt som konfigurasjonen er gjort.
