Cause
OpenManage Enterprise version 4.0 introduced an online update catalog feature that shows recommended resource requirements for supported plugins. The update catalog compares the current appliance resources (CPU, RAM, and virtual disk space) with the recommended plug-in resource requirements. The error banner is shown if the available appliance resources do not meet the recommendation.
Resolution
The alert banner does not have any functional impact to the appliance or plugins either installed, available, or not installed.
Review the OpenManage Enterprise User's Guide to find the plug-in resource requirements Dell OpenManage Enterprise | Documentation, section OpenManage Enterprise hardware requirements. For expanding the primary disk, see Table 18 under the Configuring the system using the Text User Interface (TUI) - Configure Appliance Disk Size.
Adjust the appliance's resources based on one of the following:
- For installed plugins, consider increasing the resources of the OpenManage Enterprise appliance to include the required resources for each plug-in. This ensures that the appliance and plug-in performs optimally.
- For plugins that are not installed, consider increasing the resources of the OpenManage Enterprise appliance to include the required resources for the plug-in before installing. This ensures that the appliance and plug-in performs optimally after the installation is completed. If there are no plans to install the plug-in, this banner can be ignored.
