Symptoms

NVE(NetWorker Virtual Edition)アプライアンスのアップグレード中に、アップグレードが失敗します。次のエラーがNVEの /data01/avamar/repo/temp/*/tmp/workflow.logファイルに置き換えます。

Cause

UTF-8以外の文字 "Â" を [Server Protection Policy] の [Notifications] フィールドに表示します。

mail -h smtp.domain.com -s 'Networker Bootstrap Recovery Clone failed' backupadmin@email.com

コマンドは別の場所からコピー&ペーストされたようで、UTF-8以外の文字が含まれていました

このフィールドはUTF-8以外の文字をサポートしていないため、これが失敗の原因でした。

Resolution

  1. NetWorker管理コンソール(NMC)を開きます。
  2. [Protection]タブの[Server Protection]ポリシーに移動します。
  3. サーバー保護ポリシーを右クリックします。
  4. 通知フィールドから通知コマンドを削除して手動で再入力し、サポートされていない文字を避け、[OK]ボタンをクリックします。
  5. Installation Managerに戻り、[Retry]ボタンをクリックします。
