Symptoms

在 AIX 上使用 DD VTL TS4500 程式庫搭配 IBM Storage Protect （先前稱為 IBM Spectrum Protect-TSM） 時，在定義路徑程序中可能會發生下列錯誤： 
SERVER1>define path server1 <LibraryName> srctype=server desttype=library online=yes device=/dev/smc0 

Return code 15.
  在應用程式記錄中出現錯誤： 
ANR8840E Unable to open device /dev/smc0 with error number 5 and PVRRC 2831.

Cause

作為 DEFINE PATH 程序中，IBM Storage Protect 預期 第一個儲存元素位址 回應 SCSI INQUIRY page 0x80 (bytes 16-19) 和 SCSI INQUIRY page 0x83 (bytes 44-47)。在目前的實作中，DD VTL 不會在回應中提供此資訊 SCSI INQUIRY page 0x80 and 0x83 TS4500 程式庫，導致在執行時發生組態故障 DEFINE PATH。

Resolution

回應 SCSI INQUIRY page 0x80 and 0x83 已在 DD VTL 中更新，以具有 TS4500 程式庫的 SCSI 規格中定義 的第一個儲存元素位址的要求值。此行為是使用新的系統參數控制的 VTL_IBM_CHANGERS_INQ_FIX。此系統參數的值應設置為 TRUE 以使更改生效。預設值為 FALSE。  

此參數適用於 DDOS 7.10.1.60 及更新版本、7.13.1.30 及更新版本，以及 8.0.x.x 及更新版本。

請聯絡 Dell 支援 以啟用系統參數，因為 BASH 需要存取權。

您可以在管理模式中確認參數的目前值。如果未設置參數，則預期輸出如下： 
# reg show system.VTL_IBM_CHANGERS_INQ_FIX

啟用參數後，您可以繼續頻譜保護組態並執行 定義路徑。如果在 DD 上啟用系統參數之前已在 AIX 上設定了裝置，那麼在啟用參數後，請在 AIX 上執行以下步驟：

  1. 將主機重新開機
  2. 重新掃描 VTL 裝置
  3. 繼續頻譜保護組態並執行 定義路徑
