NVP-vProxy： vProxyバックアップが「ERROR: [140] VDDK Error: 13: このファイルへのアクセス権がありません」

Summary: vProxyは、vProxyと同じESXiホスト上に存在しないVMをバックアップできません。vProxyが、VMをホストしているESXiホストのポート902を介した通信に失敗します。

Symptoms

すべてのESXiホストが、別々のバックアップVLANと管理VLAN上にあることがわかりました。 
 

vProxyバックアップが失敗し、NetWorkerサーバーのバックアップ ログに次のように表示されます。

As seen from the /opt/emc/vproxy/runtime/logs/vbackupdd-vddk.log on the vProxy:

Cause

vProxyは、自身と同じESXiホスト上にあるVMのみをバックアップすることがわかりました。vProxyが別のESXiホストにあるVMをバックアップしようとすると、次に示すようにポート902での接続に失敗します。
  
Could not connect to ESX host esxi_hostname: Failed to connect to server esxi_hostname:902.

Testing connectivity from the vProxy to the esxi host in question using the below command, hangs, and eventually fails to connect, though ping and nslookup, return expected results. 

#curl -kv esxi_hostname:902

Verified the firewall is down on the esxi hosts.

esxcli network firewall set -e false

Verified no layer2 firewall exists, or any firewall between the esxi hosts. 
 

Resolution

ESXiホストがすべて個別のバックアップ/管理VLAN上にあり、ポート902経由で通信できないことがわかりました。ESXiホストとvproxy間でポート902を介して通信できる必要があります。
