Symptoms

The following error appears when adding a group to the LDAP or AD server in the Data Protection Central (DPC) UI:

{CN=Domain Users,OU=Groups,DC=Dell,DC=com=Local group with the intended inherited group name (Domain Users) already exists. Group names must be unique.}

Cause

This issue is due to the LDAP or AD group being a subgroup or another group that is discovered in DPC.

Resolution

Open a service request with Dell Support to have this issue addressed.
