Symptoms



When attempting to install the SourceOne Auditing and Reporting services, the installation may fail with the following error:
 
Error: (Search Activity Report) rsInternalError (An unexpected error occurred in Report Processing.)
Unhandled exception:
An unexpected error occurred in Report Processing.

Errors encountered during Reports Setup process. Please re-run the setup program.

The following "Informational" event will be logged in the Windows Application event logs:

A potentially malicious Active script was Detected, and no action was taken by policy
Device: __________; MAC: ____________
File path: <Path to reports installation>\es1_reports_helper.vbs
Process Id: 4264
Occurrences: 1

Cause

The AntiVirus software installed on the Microsoft SQL server has stopped the SourceOne scripts from executing.

Resolution

In order to resolve this issue, exclude all SourceOne installation directories from being scanned by the AntiVirus software.
