Symptoms

From the backup log, the below key error is seen:

Cause

The vCenter certificate was updated, our vProxy is still using the cache.

Resolution

  1. Update the certificate on the PowerProtect Data Manager using the ppcp tool.
# ./ppcp vcenter list                                                                   <-- Confirm vCenter hostname and port (default 443)
# ./ppcp certs update --host <vCenterName> --port 443          <-- Update vCenter cert on PPDM
  1. vProxy VM Direct Engine may require a reboot to clear certificate cache.
