Symptoms

VxRail Manager ilmoittaa virheestä, kun VxRail Manager yrittää pysäyttää vxrail-platform-service äskettäin lisätyssä solmussa.

  • Tehtävä keskeytyy virheellä "Failed to stop vxrail-platform-service service!".
  • Lokimerkinnät osoittavat, että alustan palvelun pysäytyspyyntö ei saavuttanut solmua.
  • Taustalla oleva virheilmoitus on ip address not reachable.

Cause

ICMP-liikenne on estetty VxRail Managerin ja uusien solmujen välillä. Laajennuslogiikka tarkistaa solmun tavoitettavuuden ICMP-pyyntöjen avulla. Kun ICMP suodatetaan, esimies ei voi vahvistaa solmun läsnäoloa, mikä johtaa "ip address not reachable" virheet ja kyvyttömyys pysäyttää vxrail-platform-service uudessa solmussa.

 

Resolution

Salli ICMP VxRail Managerin ja uusien solmujen välillä ainakin siihen asti, kunnes solmut on lisätty klusteriin.
