Symptoms

VxRail Manager rapporterer en feil ved forsøk på å stoppe vxrail-platform-service på en nylig lagt til node.

  • Oppgaven avbrytes med feil "Failed to stop vxrail-platform-service service!".
  • Loggoppføringer indikerer at forespørselen om stopp for plattformtjenesten ikke kunne nå noden.
  • Den underliggende feilmeldingen er ip address not reachable.

Cause

ICMP-trafikk blokkeres mellom VxRail Manager og de nye nodene. Utvidelseslogikken bruker ICMP-forespørsler for å verifisere nodeoppnåelse. Når ICMP filtreres, kan ikke lederen bekrefte nodens tilstedeværelse, noe som fører til "ip address not reachable" feil og manglende evne til å stoppe vxrail-platform-service på den nye noden.

 

Resolution

Tillat ICMP mellom VxRail Manager og nye noder, i hvert fall til nodene er lagt til i klyngen.
