Symptoms

The Dell Ultrasharp webcam settings (except for microphone On and Off) reset to default when DDPM for macOS has not been started.

  • WB7022
  • WB3023
  • WB5023

Cause

The Dell Ultrasharp webcam does not have persist settings in the devices nonvolatile memory (except for the microphone On and Off in the WB5023 and WB3023) as these settings are stored in the DDPM app.

Resolution

Dell Ultrasharp Webcams and Display and Peripheral Manager

You must launch the DDPM app and keep it running when using the Dell Ultrasharp Webcams in macOS.

  1. Download and install Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (DDPM).
  2. Launch the DDPM app and keep the app running while using the Dell Ultrasharp Webcams.
