Symptoms
SATA disks in the same disk pool showing greater than 40 ms response on both reads and writes.
SATA disks not operating in their expected performance range.
Cause
The drive vendor has identified several performance issues and have addressed them with new drive firmware.
Resolution
Dell EMC has released a drive Firmware that can be installed on the affected drives. To determine whether a Firwmare upgrade is appropriate for your environment, contact the EMC Symmetrix Support Center or your service representative. Please quote this solution ID.
