Symptoms



目的

复制最佳做法规定，应将工作负载分解为多个上下文。有时，通过使用一个（或几个）大型池在这些最佳做法之外创建 VTL 配置，并且会遇到性能下降的情况。发生这种情况时，Data Domain 支持建议将池分解为多个上下文。

借助基于 Mtree 的 VTL 池，可以在源池之间安全地移动磁带，或将磁带复制到目标池中的另一个池，而不会造成停机。
唯一需要注意的是，在将磁带移动到其他池之前，先在源位置将磁带导出到 Vault 中，以保证在移动时客户端不会访问磁带。
有 2 种不同的方法可以将大型 VTL 池分解为多个小型池：
 
  1. 在不中断现有复制的情况下将源中的磁带移动到新池
主要优点是不需要中断复制。
为了保证复制磁带在目标中始终可用，甚至在同步新的 VTL 池之前，您应将计划在源位置移动的临时池复制副本磁带拷贝到不同的池。
  1. 中断复制，然后将源中的磁带移至新池
主要优点是您只需重命名目标位置的 VTL 池，以保留所有复制带的拷贝。
缺点是需要为所有磁带重新创建复制，即使磁带保留在源处的原始池中也是如此。

为了提供命令示例，我们假设我们有一个大的 VTL 池，名为 Big_Pool，包含 10000 个带有条形码BG0000L5-BG9999L5的磁带，全部导入到 VTL 库中，名为 big_vtl，我们希望将其分解为 10 个 VTL 池，每个池 1000 个磁带。
