Symptoms



Een ontbrekende sudusers-bestandsvermelding voor secure_path presenteert zich met de foutmelding:
"disk. EnableUUID=TRUE is not enabled" en "Kan bestandssysteem niet toewijzen" in de serviceplangebeurtenissen.

Nadat de AppSync plug-in naar een Red Hat Linux-host met een SUDO-gebruiker is gepusht, is een serviceplan mislukt met de volgende gebeurtenissen:
 
Applicatietoewijzing, schijf. EnableUUID=TRUE is niet ingeschakeld voor de virtuele apparaatapplicatietoewijzing

: storage voor /filesystemabc kan niet worden toegewezen aan replicatiestorage of de geselecteerde replicatievoorkeur is niet mogelijk. Controleer of alle storagesystemen van VNX, VNXe, Unity, VMAX, ViPR, XtremIO, SMI-S Provider, VPLEX cluster en RecoverPoint correct zijn geconfigureerd en gedetecteerd. Controleer voor snapshotreplicaties of alle VNX, ViPR, VNXe, Unity en VMAX LUN's in het serviceplan groeps-LUN's zijn, en geen RAID-LUN's. Voor herbestemming wordt deze storage niet ondersteund of controleer of u een geldige replicatietechnologie voor uw applicatiestorage hebt geselecteerd.",

In het logboek van de AppSync plug-in wordt het volgende weergegeven voor elk logisch volume op de host:
 
acputil.py[576]:execute() Running command: lvdisplay -c /dev/mapper/xxx
host.py[4269]:d oesVgExist() Could not find the proper vgname..
 
Houd er rekening mee dat de fout met betrekking tot "schijf. EnableUUID=TRUE" is aanwezig op fysieke en virtuele VM-machines. Aangezien deze variabele alleen relevant is voor virtuele VM-machines, is deze fout misleidend en niet gerelateerd aan deze specifieke gebeurtenis, anders dan de aanwezigheid van het bericht.

Cause

Volgens het logboekbericht van de AppSync plug-in: Kan de juiste vgname niet vinden , AppSync kan de naam van de volumegroep voor het logische volume niet bepalen tijdens het uitvoeren van de opdracht lvdisplay .

In het specifieke voorval dat voor dit artikel is aangetroffen, bleek de oorzaak een ontbrekende secure_path variabele te zijn in het sudoers-bestand op de Red Hat Linux-host.

Resolution

Volgens stap 4 van de AppSync 3.0.1 installatie- en configuratiehandleiding:

Zorg ervoor dat de secure_path variabele is ingesteld op de standaardwaarde.
Standaardwaarden secure_path = /sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin

Let op, dit is stap 5 in de AppSync 3.0.2 installatie- en configuratiehandleiding.
