Resolution
1. How to enter Service Mode
1. Log in to the appliance from an SSH client (SLN322211).
2. Run the svc_rescue_state set command to set the boot mode.
svc_rescue_state set
3. Then, run the svc_node reboot command to reboot the node and enter service mode.
svc_node reboot local
2. How to exit Service Mode
1. Log in to the appliance from an SSH client.
2. Run the svc_rescue_state clear command to clear the boot mode.
svc_rescue_state clear
3. Then, run the svc_node reboot command to reboot the node and return it to normal mode.
svc_node reboot local
3. How to check Service Mode
1. Log in to the appliance from an SSH client.
2. Run the svc_rescue_state list command to view the boot mode.
Normal Mode:
svc_rescue_state list
Current CoreOS status is Normal Mode, rc = 1.
current bootcount = 0
When Service mode has been requested but before node reboot:
svc_rescue_state list
Current CoreOS status is Normal Mode, rc = 1.
current bootcount = 0
UI requested Service Mode
When in Service mode:
svc_rescue_state list Current CoreOS status is Service Mode, rc = 0. current bootcount = 4 UI requested Service Mode *** WARNING *** This Node is currently in Service Mode *** WARNING ***
