B 02/06/17 07:09:34 NaviCimom 7600800a Command: Get Object type 65575; Exception: Buffer too small for getting Adapter data for IPv6 ; @ netidparams.cpp:646

Cause

The event code is for calls made to Management side of the VNX Array and do NOT impact normal Host I/O data access.

In this case the calls are made to Management Server(CIMOM) for IPV6 checks on adapter data.

The SPA/SPB Lan Management Ports are set with IPV6 Disabled, therefore would not be able to attain any IPV6 data.

Issue is just with Management Server(CIMOM) .

The events are NOT logging frequently, the prior instance to most current instance logged after approx 67 days, while initial instance to prior instance was approx 7 days.

Resolution

Recommend to restart management server to both SPA/SPB.

Please see KB 467028 VNX | CLARiiON : Options for restarting SP Management Server

Followed by scheduling a future VNX Code upgrade to Latest available. There are enhancements added to CIMOM(Management Server) with each newer version of Code.
