VxRail: Two Node Cluster Deployment Failed to Assign Storage Policy at 77%

Symptoms

The below error message can be observed in:  /var/log/microservice_log/dayone.log

Cause

It was discovered that the vSAN witness traffic was enabled on the management network and the unicast agent list was updated with management IP (vmk0) instead of vSAN IP.

Resolution

 Disabled the vSAN witness Traffic on vmk0 (management IP) using the CLI command:

esxcli vsan network ip remove -I vmk0 -T witness


The VMkernel adapters on vmk0 updated with management traffic and the unicast agent list on the VxRail nodes got updated with the vSAN IP (vmk1) details. See the below screenshot:
