Het is mogelijk om LUN 0 te maken van twee afzonderlijke arrays op één ESXi-host. ESXi-host- en multipathing-software zien de LUN's als afzonderlijke entiteiten, zowel vanwege de unieke NAA-ID als de unieke paden naar het apparaat.

 

Het onderstaande voorbeeld van een host die is gekoppeld aan twee verschillende Clariion arrays, heeft de LUN 0 op elke array een duidelijk pad:
