How to Disable the Windows Welcome Login Screen

Instructions

The following steps can be used to set up a user to automatically log in to Windows:

  1. Press the Windows and R keys together to open a Run box.
  2. In the Open Box, type control userpasswords2 and press Enter.
  3. Highlight the User that you want to log in automatically, then Clear the box for "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer."
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Enter your User Name and Password.
  6. Click Ok twice.
  7. Next time you restart your computer, you will automatically be logged in without having the classic prompt or welcome screen.
