Description
The new release addresses three High security issues. Refer to the Dell BSAFE Micro Edition Suite 4.5.1 Release Notes for details about the vulnerabilities being addressed.
Public disclosure of the vulnerabilities will occur at the end of the applicable embargo period. Until that embargo ends, only customers with active BSAFE maintenance contracts can receive details about the vulnerabilities.
This release is also designed to include the following changes:
- Any R and S raw data stored in an Elliptic Curve DSA (ECDSA) certificate is no longer parsed by default. To parse the R and S raw data, set the flags R_CERT_CTX_FLAG_ECDSA_ALLOW_RAW_SIGNATURE or R_CERT_FLAG_ECDSA_ALLOW_RAW_SIGNATURE against the R_CERT_CTX/R_CERT.
- Updated operating environment support.
