Cause

It happens after the upgrade starts and trying to upload bundles to the vSAN datastore.

Resolution

Follow the steps to solve the problem:
  1. Log in to vCenter and go to the VxRail cluster which is being upgraded.
  2. Go to the vSAN datastore.
  3. Right-click the vSAN datastore, and select the "Rename" button in the menu.
  4. Remove characters like "%", "/", "\" in the vSAN datastore name from the popup window.
  5. Click the "OK" button to save the vSAN datastore name.
  6. Go back to VxRail cluster upgrading navigator, and click the "Retry" button

Additional Information

Special characters "%", "/", "\" are used iThe vSAN datastore name. Datastore's name with these characters are stored in ASCII "%25", "%2f", "%5c" instead of UTF-8 in VC MOB. So the datastore name is not encoded correctly in the URL used to upload the bundle to the vSAN datastore.
