The following video covers how to use DRM using the Command Line Interface (DRM). This is a basic tutorial on creating, listing and configuring repositories using the CLI.  It covers creating repositories from both an IDRAC and from OpenManage Enterprise.

Command Line Interface:

 Features of Command Line Interface:
  • Create, Delete, and Modify repositories in DRM
  • Configure application preferences
  • Create deployment tools
 General command:
  • List version of DRM installed
    • drm -v
  • List repositories in DRM
    • drm -li=rep
  • List plug-ins
    • drm -li=plug-in
  • Update all Plugins
    • drm --update --plug-in=all
  • Show job details
    • drm -li=job
NOTE: Command-line reference can be found in Appendix A of the user guide
 

Creating a repository:

  • Repositories can be created directly from the CLI
  • Create a repository using integration
    • drm -cr -r=<repository name> -ih=<idrac-aip> -it=<integration type> --authentication=<username>:<password>
      • Example: drm -cr -r=iDRAC -ih=192.168.0.120 -it=idrac --authentication=root:calvin
NOTE: Supported integration types are listed with examples in the user guide
 

Exporting Repositories and Scripts:

  • Exporting a repository
    • drm --deployment-type=exportCatalog --location="c:\catalog\" -r=<repository to export>
  • Exporting scripts
    • drm -r=idrac --deployemnt-type=smartscript --script-type=windows --location=<local path to export> --force
