Symptoms

PowerProtect Transparent Snapshot Data Mover （TSDM） 解决方案用于保护 vSphere 环境。虚拟机 （VM） 计划备份成功完成，但手动备份间歇性失败并显示ABV0006。受影响的虚拟机上没有配置独立磁盘。
错误 
ABV0006: VM Direct engine 'my-vmdirect-engine.mydomain.com' is unable to back up the virtual machine 'my-vm-name' on vCenter 'my-vcenter'.

Protection of this virtual machine by the VM Direct engine cannot be completed because the backup was unsuccessful.

Review the error details and summary log in the Jobs window, or review the log files at /var/log/brs/vmdm for more detailed information to troubleshoot the issue.

Cause

手动备份开始时，受影响的虚拟机也在运行 PowerProtect 文件级恢复 （FLR）作。根据设计，FLR 会为装载作创建一个独立的硬盘，该硬盘可用于运行恢复。FLR 会在恢复结束时删除独立硬盘。

Resolution

确保 PowerProtect 文件级恢复 （FLR）作未在计划的备份窗口内或执行手动备份时运行。
