Symptoms

PowerProtect Transparent Snapshot Data Mover (TSDM)ソリューションは、vSphere環境の保護に使用されます。仮想マシン(VM)のスケジュール設定されたバックアップは正常に完了しますが、手動バックアップが断続的に失敗し、ABV0006。影響を受けるVMには独立したディスクが構成されていません。
エラー 
ABV0006: VM Direct engine 'my-vmdirect-engine.mydomain.com' is unable to back up the virtual machine 'my-vm-name' on vCenter 'my-vcenter'.

Protection of this virtual machine by the VM Direct engine cannot be completed because the backup was unsuccessful.

Review the error details and summary log in the Jobs window, or review the log files at /var/log/brs/vmdm for more detailed information to troubleshoot the issue.

Cause

手動バックアップの開始時に、影響を受けたVMでもPowerProtectファイル レベル リカバリー(FLR)操作が実行されていました。設計上、FLRはマウント操作用に独立したハード ディスクを作成し、リストアの実行に使用できるようにします。FLRは、リカバリーの最後に独立したハード ディスクを削除します。

Resolution

スケジュール設定されたバックアップ ウィンドウ中または手動バックアップの実行中に、PowerProtectファイル レベル リカバリー(FLR)操作が実行されていないことを確認します。
