Symptoms

Die PowerProtect Data Manager-Appliance wird verwendet, um die vSphere-Umgebung zu schützen. Eine anwendungsbezogene VMware-Schutz-Policy wird konfiguriert, um eine virtuelle Maschine (VM) von Microsoft SQL Server zu schützen. Der Microsoft SQL Server-VM-Systemkonfigurationsjob schlägt mit dem Beendigungsstatus ABV0025 fehl, der angibt, dass der PowerProtect-Agent-Service nicht registriert werden konnte.

ABV0025: VM Direct engine is unable to configure protection for the virtual machine 'my-sql-server.my-domain.com' on vCenter 'my-vcenter.my-domain.com'.

The VM Direct engine cannot complete protection of this virtual machine because the protection configuration was unsuccessful.

 Review the error details and summary log in the Jobs window, or export the job logs and review the log files for more information. If the issue persists, contact Dell Customer Support.

Der PowerProtect-Agent-Service (MSAPPAGENT) wurde durch Erstellen des .ddbmcon.debug im Verzeichnis C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\MSAPPAGENT\tmp\ auf dem Microsoft SQL Server. Die ddbmcon.*.log-Debug-Ausgabedateien unter C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\MSAPPAGENT\logs\ zeigen Folgendes an:

Cause

Es liegt eine Beschädigung in der agents.clb Lockbox, die verhindert, dass der MSAPPAGENT-Dienst die Zertifikatdateien aktualisiert.

Resolution

Entfernen der vorhandenen agents.clb lockbox, sodass eine neue Lockbox auf dem Microsoft SQL Server neu erstellt wird.

  1. Beenden Sie den PowerProtect-Agent-Service über services.msc oder Eingabeaufforderung:
net stop agentservice
  1. Verschieben Sie den Inhalt der C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\common\lockbox in ein anderes Verzeichnis.
  2. Starten Sie den PowerProtect-Agent-Service über das services.msc oder Eingabeaufforderung:
net start agentservice
