Symptoms

L'appliance PowerProtect Data Manager viene utilizzato per proteggere l'ambiente vSphere. È in corso la configurazione di una policy di protezione con riconoscimento dell'applicazione VMware per proteggere una macchina virtuale (VM) Microsoft SQL Server. Il processo di configurazione del sistema VM Microsoft SQL Server ha esito negativo con stato di uscita ABV0025 che indica che non è stato possibile registrare il servizio dell'agent PowerProtect.

ABV0025: VM Direct engine is unable to configure protection for the virtual machine 'my-sql-server.my-domain.com' on vCenter 'my-vcenter.my-domain.com'.

The VM Direct engine cannot complete protection of this virtual machine because the protection configuration was unsuccessful.

 Review the error details and summary log in the Jobs window, or export the job logs and review the log files for more information. If the issue persists, contact Dell Customer Support.

Il servizio PowerProtect Agent Service (MSAPPAGENT) è stato messo in debug creando il file .ddbmcon.debug nella directory C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\MSAPPAGENT\tmp\ in Microsoft SQL Server. I file di output di debug ddbmcon.*.log in C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\MSAPPAGENT\logs\ mostrano:

Cause

C'è una corruzione nel agents.clb Lockbox che impedisce al servizio MSAPPAGENT di aggiornare i file di certificato.

Resolution

Rimuovere il file esistente agents.clb lockbox, in modo che venga ricreato un nuovo lockbox in Microsoft SQL Server.

  1. Arrestare il servizio PowerProtect Agent dal services.msc o prompt dei comandi:
net stop agentservice
  1. Spostare il contenuto di C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\common\lockbox in un'altra directory.
  2. Avviare il servizio PowerProtect Agent da services.msc o prompt dei comandi:
net start agentservice
