Symptoms

O equipamento PowerProtect Data Manager é usado para proteger o ambiente vSphere. Uma política de proteção com reconhecimento de aplicativos da VMware está sendo configurada para proteger uma máquina virtual (VM) do Microsoft SQL Server. O trabalho de configuração do sistema Microsoft SQL Server VM apresenta falha com o status de saída ABV0025 indicando que não foi possível registrar o serviço PowerProtect Agent.

ABV0025: VM Direct engine is unable to configure protection for the virtual machine 'my-sql-server.my-domain.com' on vCenter 'my-vcenter.my-domain.com'.

The VM Direct engine cannot complete protection of this virtual machine because the protection configuration was unsuccessful.

 Review the error details and summary log in the Jobs window, or export the job logs and review the log files for more information. If the issue persists, contact Dell Customer Support.

Cause

Há uma corrupção no agents.clb lockbox que impede o serviço MSAPPAGENT de atualizar os arquivos de certificado.

Resolution

Remova o existente agents.clb lockbox, portanto, uma nova lockbox é recriada no Microsoft SQL Server.

  1. Interrompa o PowerProtect Agent Service na services.msc ou prompt de comando:
net stop agentservice
  1. Mova o conteúdo da caixa C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\common\lockbox para outro diretório.
  2. Inicie o PowerProtect Agent Service no services.msc ou prompt de comando:
net start agentservice
