Symptoms

Når registrering af en Linux AIX-server med PowerProtect Data Manager er gennemført, mislykkes det efterfølgende registreringsjob muligvis med følgende fejl:

ASDS0009
An exception occurred while discovering Applications System for AddOn FILE_SYSTEM_CLUSTER on host <Linux\AIX Server>: 
Process /opt/dpsapps/fsagent/bin/ddfscon failed with error code 1

The Application System discovery was unsuccessful.
Recommended Action: 
Check the log files at INSTALL_DIR\DPSAPPS\AGENTSERVICE\logs.
Where INSTALL_DIR is the directory on the user machine where the agent service is installed.
If the issue persists, contact Dell Customer Support.

Cause

IPv6 er posten i /etc/hosts fil på Linux AIX-serveren, der mangler eller er kommenteret.

Den /etc/hosts fil på Linux AIX-serveren skal have følgende linjer:

    127.0.0.1   localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4
    ::1         localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6

Resolution

Du kan løse problemet ved enten at tilføje eller fjerne kommentarer til den manglende linje i /etc/hosts file og genstart PowerProtect Agent-tjenesten.
