Symptoms

Dopo aver registrato correttamente un server AIX Linux con PowerProtect Data Manager, il successivo processo di rilevamento potrebbe non riuscire con il seguente errore:

ASDS0009
An exception occurred while discovering Applications System for AddOn FILE_SYSTEM_CLUSTER on host <Linux\AIX Server>: 
Process /opt/dpsapps/fsagent/bin/ddfscon failed with error code 1

The Application System discovery was unsuccessful.
Recommended Action: 
Check the log files at INSTALL_DIR\DPSAPPS\AGENTSERVICE\logs.
Where INSTALL_DIR is the directory on the user machine where the agent service is installed.
If the issue persists, contact Dell Customer Support.

Cause

L'IPv6 è una voce nel /etc/hosts sul server AIX Linux mancante o commentato.

Le /etc/hosts sul server AIX Linux deve avere le seguenti righe:

    127.0.0.1   localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4
    ::1         localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6

Resolution

Per risolvere il problema, aggiungere o rimuovere il commento dalla riga mancante nel /etc/hosts file e riavviare il servizio dell'agent PowerProtect.
