PPDM：TSDM 備份間歇性失敗並出現ABV0040，且需要 TSDM 重新開機

Symptoms

  • PowerProtect Data Manager 使用 TSDM 保護 vSphere VM。
  • 數天後，VM 備份失敗，並在某些 ESXi 主機上 ABV0040 。
  • 備份工作階段匯出和 vmdm.log 示：
SDM Delta Sync: The vCenter task for 'SDM Snapshot Sync Delta' completed with state 'error'.
com.vmware.dp.fault.snapshottransportfault [] Failed to transport snapshot data

ESXi 主機dpd.log顯示：

Canceling sync ... due to unresponsive transport provider ppdm_sdm
Error on Sync ... failed with error: (dp.fault.SnapshotTransportFault)

ESXi tsdm.log顯示：

ddcl_establish_file_buffer_pool: error creating file private pool Unable to allocate file ddcl buffers
ddp_write() failed ... Err: 5001-Unable to allocate file ddcl buffers

Cause

此問題是由 TSDM 備份期間發生的 DD Boost 二進位檔案 （DDOSCFD-26030） 記憶體洩漏所造成。

  • PowerProtect 版本 19.20 和 19.21 包括 DD Boost 程式庫 8.3.0-0-1148040，它受到影響。
  • 此修正已導入 DD Boost 程式庫 8.5.0.0-1178591 及更新版本。

Resolution

  • 升級至 PowerProtect Data Manager 19.22.0-16 或任何包含 DD Boost 程式庫 8.5.0.0 或更新版本的版本。
    • 版本 19.22 包括 DD Boost 程式庫 8.6.0.0-1200315。
  • 如果無法立即升級，請重新開機 TSDM 服務作為暫時的因應措施。
