Symptoms

  • PowerProtect Data Manager 使用 TSDM 保护 vSphere 虚拟机。
  • 几天后，虚拟机备份失败，并在某些 ESXi 主机上 ABV0040 。
  • 备份会话导出和 vmdm.log 显示：
SDM Delta Sync: The vCenter task for 'SDM Snapshot Sync Delta' completed with state 'error'.
com.vmware.dp.fault.snapshottransportfault [] Failed to transport snapshot data

ESXi 主机dpd.log显示：

Canceling sync ... due to unresponsive transport provider ppdm_sdm
Error on Sync ... failed with error: (dp.fault.SnapshotTransportFault)

ESXi tsdm.log显示：

ddcl_establish_file_buffer_pool: error creating file private pool Unable to allocate file ddcl buffers
ddp_write() failed ... Err: 5001-Unable to allocate file ddcl buffers

Cause

此问题是由 TSDM 备份期间遇到的 DD Boost 二进制文件 （DDOSCFD-26030） 中的内存泄漏引起的。

  • PowerProtect 版本 19.20 和 19.21 包括 DD Boost 库 8.3.0-0-1148040，受到影响。
  • 此修复是在 DD Boost 库 8.5.0.0-1178591 及更高版本中引入的。

Resolution

  • 升级到 PowerProtect Data Manager 19.22.0-16 或任何包含 DD Boost 库 8.5.0.0 或更高版本的版本。
    • 版本 19.22 包括 DD Boost 库 8.6.0.0-1200315。
