Instructions
With standard Avamar replication, the source machine replicates internal system accounts to the target.
This behavior is intentional and occurs by default, unless replication options are selected to only include data for specific clients.
This provides redundancy on the target system for disaster recovery purposes.
The internal system accounts which are replicated contain information relating to various services provided by Avamar.
EBR_BACKUPS - Information relating to the VMware Backup Appliance where Avamar backs up VMware virtual machines
AVI_BACKUPS - Information relating to Avamar Installer, used for applying updates and patches to Avamar
We see these internal accounts in the Avamar Administrator interface.
We also see them under the /REPLICATE/sourceavamar/ domain.
