Issue:
1. HA out of sync message in the errdump occurring every minute:

The Maps daemon (MDD) terminates after a period:

2. Another issue is that a Maps daemon (MDD) panics and restarts on active CP. As a result, director loses HA SYNC status.

Cause

MAPS daemon was terminated, due to a NULL pointer reference in the code. The MAPS daemon panicked and did not restart on the active CP, and as a result the director lost HA SYNC. This happens when standby CP is in and out of faulty state frequently, and HA cannot be recovered even after standby CP replacement.

Resolution

Resolution:
Upgrade to Fabric OS version 7.4.1e, 7.4.2, 8.0.2, or 8.1.0.

Workaround:
For problem 2, schedule a maintenance window and reboot the active CP which is disruptive, since the CPs are not in sync.
