Summary: Isilon OneFS Event notification: There is at least one SmartPools at or over capacity or the SmartPools '[name]' is near or over capacity ([value]% used) - Event ID: 100010015
Symptoms
Details
By default, these notifications are issued when the amount of data in the pool reaches 95 percent of the pool's capacity. The notification is reissued when the amount of data reaches the critical threshold of 99 percent of the pool's capacity.
Event message for 100010015
One of the disk pools on your cluster is nearing, or has reached, maximum capacity.
Description
If the cluster is too close to maximum capacity there might be insufficient space to restripe data in the event of a hardware
failure, which could put your data at risk.
In addition, should the cluster be allowed to approach 100% used capacity, important system processes will cease to function
properly until disk usage is reduced.
Administrator action
To reduce the capacity to below 90% you can:
● Modify the affected disk pool
● Remove extraneous data
● Add capacity to your cluster
If the event persists, gather logs, and then contact Technical Support for additional troubleshooting. For instructions on how to
gather cluster logs, see Gathering cluster logs on page 25 of the PowerScale OneFS Event Reference Guide
Cause
Response
To ensure that your cluster always has enough free space available, follow the guidelines in Cluster Capacity Management.
