Symptoms
嘗試從用戶端裝置到閘道 (通常是 VLAN 介面的 IP) 執行 ICMP ping 時,會出現關於高延遲的間歇性問題。即使直接連接到幾乎沒有或沒有生產流量的閘道交換機,仍會出現此問題。有一些客戶擔心這會對正常生產流量造成影響。
在所有執行 OS9 韌體的 S 系列平台上出現問題。

拓樸組態
PC1: 192.168.10.100/24, Gateway: 192.168.10.1/24, VLAN10
PC2: 192.168.10.200/24, Gateway: 192.168.10.1/24, VLAN10
或PC2: 192.168.20.200/24, Gateway: 192.168.20.1/24, VLAN20

Cause
結果說明
已與 Dell 工程部門確認,由於 CPU 排程和佇列,這是正常和預期的行為。
Resolution
ICMP 測試應僅用作測試可訪問性的方法,而不是由於此行為而導致的延遲或丟失。ICMP 流量延遲不會反映對正常生產流量的影響。此行為也可能因繁忙的 CPU 而加劇 - 也就是說,對於處於完整生產狀態的交換機,其上的流量較高。
