Instructions

Sinds de release van ObjectScale is de tool herschreven vanwege verschillende python-versies tussen ECS en ObjectScale. De nieuwste versie is ecs_certificate_tool-1.7.

  • Voor ECS gebruik: ecs_certificate_tool.py
  • Voor ObjectScale gebruiken: obs_certificate_tool.py

Installatie

  1. Download de nieuwste versie van de tool die is toegevoegd aan dit Knowledge Base-artikel
  2. Upload de tool naar /home/admin op een van de ECS-knooppunten.
  3. Verander in de /home/admin Directory en pak het pakket uit.
$ cd /home/admin
$ unzip ecs_certificate_tool-1.7.zip
  1. Ga naar de map met de certificaattool.
$ cd ecs_certificate_tool-1.7
  1. Configureer root UI-referenties voor het te gebruiken tool.
Opdracht:
$ python ecs_certificate_tool.py configure_credentials

  1. Gebruik de certificaattool om uw SAN-configuratie (Subject Alternative Name) te genereren. U moet handmatig de b>fqdn als ip-address van uw load balancer als u er een gebruikt.

Uw certificaat uploaden

Als u een zelfondertekend certificaat gebruikt dat door deze tool is gegenereerd, bevinden de persoonlijke sleutel en het certificaat zich al in uw huidige map.

Als u een certificaat hebt dat is ondertekend door een CA, uploadt u het naar het ECS en plaatst u het in de map met de certificaattool.
 

Opmerking: Zorg dat u de volledige certificaatketen (root/intermediate) uploadt, indien vereist voor uw omgeving. Zie #ECS: Gegevens en beheer SSL-certificaattool indien nodig.


Datacertificaat

Opdracht:

$ python ecs_certificate_tool.py upload_certificate -c <path to certificate> -p <path to private key> --data

Na het uploaden van het certificaat heb je twee opties:

  1. Wacht 2 uur voor dataheadsvc om het nieuwe certificaat in het hele cluster door te geven.
  2. Handmatig opnieuw opstarten dataheadsvc op het knooppunt van waaruit u het hulpprogramma hebt uitgevoerd, maar houd er rekening mee dat dit een korte impact kan hebben.

Opdracht voor het opnieuw starten van dataheadsvc:

# sudo kill -9 `pidof dataheadsvc`


Managementcertificaat

Opdracht:

$ python ./ecs_certificate_tool.py upload_certificate -c <path to certificate> -p <path to private key> --management

Na het uploaden van het nieuwe beheercertificaat moet u doorlopend opnieuw starten van objcontrolsvc/nginx in het hele cluster. Dit kan een minimale invloed hebben op de toegang tot de gebruikersinterface.

  1. Genereer een clusterbreed MACHINES-bestand :
$ sudo getclusterinfo -a /root/MACHINES.VDC && sudo viprscp -f /root/MACHINES.VDC /root/MACHINES.VDC /root/;sudo viprscp -f /root/MACHINES.VDC /root/MACHINES.VDC /home/admin/;sudo viprexec -i -f /home/admin/MACHINES.VDC "pingall; md5sum /root/MACHINES.VDC /home/admin/MACHINES.VDC" 
  1. Herstarten objcontrolsvc In het hele cluster:
$ viprexec -f ~/MACHINES.VDC -i 'pidof objcontrolsvc; kill -9 `pidof objcontrolsvc`; sleep 60; pidof objcontrolsvc'
  1. Herstarten nginx In het hele cluster:
$ viprexec -f ~/MACHINES.VDC -i -c "/etc/init.d/nginx restart;sleep 60;/etc/init.d/nginx status"

05/11/2025     1.7 - ObjectScale is running SLES 15 SP4, which has no Python 2 support any longer. So the tool got separated into two scripts:
                     For ECS use ecs_certificate_tool.py
                     For ObjectScale use: obs_certificate_tool.py
