This issue appears to effect the virtual switching software network infrastructure, the HOST is still accessible using Management Interface/vCenter.
- Confirm no hardware issues.
- Isolate Virtual machines by migrating a few at a time to another HOST until the offending Virtual machine is located.
If The is not resolved, then re-create virtual machine.
