Instructions

手順：

  1. アップグレードVxRailコードと一致するVxRailアップグレード複合バンドルをダウンロードします。ESXiアップデートの抽出 depot.zip をVxRailアップデート複合バンドル フォルダーから取得します。

  1. ESXiアップデートのアップロード depot.zip 複合バンドルのアップグレードから /scratch SFTPを使用したWitness。
  2. Witnessをメンテナンス モードにします。
  3. WitnessアプライアンスにSSHで接続します
  4. アップロード 時に使用可能な プロファイル を取得します。depot.zip 次のコマンドを使用します。
esxcli software sources profile list --depot='path/to/esxi/.zip'

  1. no-toolsプロファイルは、必要なスペースが少ないために必要です。また、VMを実行できないため、監視アプライアンスにVMtoolsは必要ありません。
  2. 次のコマンドを実行します。
esxcli software profile update -p 'name of image profile' --depot='path/to/esxi/.zip'

Example:

esxcli software profile update -p ESXi-7.0U3g-20328353-no-tools --depot=/vmfs/volumes/61f8cb7a-94b3a685-a859-005056810acd/VMware-ESXi-7.0U3g-20328353-depot.zip
Update Result
   Message: The update completed successfully, but the system needs to be rebooted for the changes to be effective.

重要メモ：
  • Witnessを再起動します。
  • アップロードされたアップグレードを削除します depot.zip から /scratch 分割。
rm path/to/esxi/.zip

Example:

rm /vmfs/volumes/61f8cb7a-94b3a685-a859-005056810acd/VMware-ESXi-7.0U3g-20328353-depot.zip
rm: remove '/vmfs/volumes/61f8cb7a-94b3a685-a859-005056810acd/VMware-ESXi-7.0U3g-20328353-depot.zip'? y

(note scratch is a symlink to a UUID, your scratch partition UUID is different from the example)
  • 監視サーバーがメンテナンス モードで起動し直した後、監視ESXiビルドに、必要なアップデート済みESXiビルド バージョンが反映されていることを確認します。ビルドがVxRailホストと同じであること、またはVxRailアップグレード コードのESXiバージョンと同じであることを確認します。
